An exciting position has arisen for a motivated research and policy assistant to work with DIGISTEM’s Principal Investigator – Dr. Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi. The successful candidate will also work with a wider team of other academics at Northumbria University as well as policy makers across certain states in southwest Nigeria in delivering a high profile project. The candidate will support the local STEMRES outreach team and lead on evaluation and reporting activities of the organisation.
If you are interested in this position, you MUST have knowledge of basic quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation techniques, literature review, report writing, excellent/working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software e.g. MS Excel & Access and working knowledge of statistical software packages e.g. SPSS, Nvivo.
You MUST have experience of working accurately to deadlines under minimal supervisions and of communicating effectively in a busy and pressured environment (both verbal and written) and ability to present complex information in an accessible way to a range of audiences. You will have experience of minute taking and of working independently as well as part of a team. There will be a 3 -month probational period following an appointment.
